Combine your love for patient care with your passion for adventure
Enjoy the security of working year-round with full-time benefits
When hospitals, outpatient clinics, and home health providers experience an increased need for Registered Nurses, they turn to nurse staffing companies (like ours) to fill their gaps in patient care. Your RN experience in nearly any specialty is needed year-round in hundreds of locations across the U.S. where you can enjoy new experiences and cultures while engaging in the hobbies you love. With thousands of jobs available every day, travel nursing gives you the opportunity to make a life-long career of traveling, or step into it anytime you’re ready.
Things you should know
As you explore whether or not travel nursing is right for you, the following resources contain answers to some of your most common questions:
- Is a career as a traveling nurse right for you?
- Am I too old to start Travel Nursing?
- Why travel nursing can be good for a relationship
- No strings attached: How a year of travel nursing can change your life
- How to save money by traveling with another nurse
- The best dogs to take on the road with you
Still deciding? Here’s a quick checklist.
Why travelers travel
While the reasons travel nurses hit-the-road are varied, we discovered from our own study that 92% of travel nurses were motivated by a single purpose: to see new places. And, after speaking to over 400 nurses at last year’s Traveler’s Conference, we discovered that 80% of them choose their assignments based on the things they like to do (i.e. beach, hiking, canoeing, etc).
So, what’s motivating you to look into travel nursing? Have your kids graduated and you’ve got the freedom to do what you’ve always wanted? Maybe you graduated a couple of years ago and staying in one place, at one job, just isn’t rewarding to you? Or, maybe you’ve got a spouse who’s homeschooling your kids and you’ve always wanted to travel the country in an RV?
